The Song of the Blooming Almond Tree
  A maiden with blond hair,
with eyes, as blue as the calm sea,
she put out her nets
in the branches of the almond tree,
waiting for birds to come.
She shook the branches of the blooming almond tree
with her dainty hands,
thus covering her shoulders, arms and back
and also her hair with the white blossoms.
But when I saw my silly one
with all this snow upon her
I went up to her,
I shook the blossoms from her head
and I gave her a kiss.
δεν το στοιχάζεσαι;
"You silly girl, with this white hair
you bring the snow upon us!
Don't be in such a hurry:
the bitter winter will arrive
all of its own -
don't you remember that?
  There will come a time
when you will think of the past,
of your childhood games...
But then you'll be
a grandma with snow-white hair,
and with spectacles on her nose!"
